How To Install SSL Certificate

  • Request dedicated ip
    You’ll need a dedicated ip on your hosting account, contact support@railsplayground.net. Each dedicated ip address is an additional $2/month
  • Obtain CSR
    CSR is a string of characters which are provided by the web host and used during the SSL certificate purchasing process. Again contact support@railsplayground.net for this. If you have the SSL plugin available from Cpanel you can do it there.
  • Create generic webmaster email account
    A generic email address for yourdomain is required during purchase of SSL Certificate. for example: webmaster@yourdomain.tld or admin@yourdomain.tld
  • Purchase SSL Certificate
    You may purchase a certificate from us for $30/year or you may buy one from a third party provider. If you buy the certificate from a third party, select CPANEL as the server type if required.
  • Once you get the Cert email it to support@railsplayground.net
